Our New House!

On March 20, 2012 we moved into our new home on 2234 Southview Drive. We were so excited to move. We were fortunate to have sold our old house to the first couple that looked at it. At first we were nervous about selling without a realtor. Things went very smooth and I would not hesitate to sell again on my own. Field Abstract and Title Company was a huge help in selling our home.

Top 10 Favorite things about our new home!

1. The size of my closet! It is amazing.

2. Our new refrigerator.. it is huge, especially compared to our mini fridge at our old house.

3. The laundry room on the main floor, no more coming up and down the stairs with baskets of laundry.

4. The windows…. We have all new windows and lots of them.

5. The basement! Lots of room for entertaining. This is by far Clays favorite room.

6. The fireplace… I am always cold, so it is awesome to have a fire with the flip of a switch.

7. Formal dining area. I have always wanted a formal dining room.

8. The space outside. We have a huge lot and many ideas to fill it. (The lack of time and money seem to hinder our ability to do so.) Slowly but surely.

9. Efficiency - Our energy bill will be lower each month.

10. Having a water well, nothing beats well water.

We are so blessed to have our new home and want to thank our generous contactor Tom Grub who was wonderful to work with.

More pictures coming soon....

Baking Cookies with Grammy

One of Tayla's favorite things to do is "cook, cook." While we were in Denver last weekend Grammy Debbie helped Tayla make sugar cookies. The unfortunate thing is that Grammy Debbie sent them home with us! Needless to say they were all pretty much gone before we got home. Tayla and Grammy Debbie make a mean sugar cookie!

RN's

Graduation! on May 14th Clay graduated with his RN for NCKTC. Also on the same day Chelle, my sister also graduated with her RN from Colby Community College. We are all so proud of both of them. It was a longgg stressful road but they both made it through and they will be wonderful nurses! Chelle has already started her job in Hill City at the hospital. She is working 12 hour shifts from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Clayton will start in the Cath Lab at the hospital in a few weeks.

Denver to see Ge Ge!

This past weekend we decided to go to Denver to visit grandma Head. Grandma had been having a rough spell with her health and had been in the hospital for over a week. Grandmas kidney funtion has declined and she was diagnosed with a high metasis cancer. Grandma was acctually discharged from the hospital on Friday, the day we arrived. We couldnt find a dog sitter for Ony so we stayed at my aunt Janets house. Very kind of the Wickenheisers to allow us to stay at there place. On Saturday morning we went over to grandmas place to visit for a few hours. Let me say she is a real trooper. She sounded and looked great. She does still have two nephrostomy tubes running from her kidneys and she has to drain them occasionally. She complianed of no pain and states she feels fine. She walked to open the door for me, allthough there was not much of a choice after I had broken the key off in her door. She did great. I visited with her for a long time and asked if she would enjoy some lunch. Being a nurse I know that a greasy hamburger from wendy's was probably not the best choice for her, but who can resist a grandma saying, "all I really want is a hamburger?" I love my grandma, we talked sports and about her health, as well as other family members. I am very proud of her, she has had two close calls and come out both times like a champ. It was a great trip and I am very glad that I had the opportunity to spend time with a lady we all love very much. We love you Ge Ge!

Also while we were in Denver we had the oppurtunity to go to the zoo! We had a great time and Tayla loved it. On the way home Tayla was saying, "Mommy, I need a tiger." I think the tiger has her favorite thing a the zoo!

Tayla's First Hunt

Today at daycare they had an Easter Egg hunt for the kids. Judy and Bob stuffed over 400 Easter Eggs and scattered them through out there backyard. The kids had a blast! Tayla collected ( with Mommy and Daddy's help) a full basket of eggs. We are blessed to have Judy (and Bob part-time) as Tayla's sitter!
Happy Easter Everyone!
